A Book Discussion and a Brawl !

We had this time's session in the garden.

It turned out rather nice, aside from the fact that a bit of a brawl began to brew ! The brawl was triggered by an unexpected guest- Arjun Bhat, the little boy who lives on the 7th floor. Arjun and his little sister Anushka wandered into the garden and Arjun had a million questions - what is this group, what are you doing, why are you here, what are the charges  ???
Ishana and Aditya didn't take kindly to the Inquisition. Before long they were supplying him with a whole range of inventive answers ( "This is an inter school writing competition, it costs a lakh of rupees..), and the Group began to go into giggles.
When they began writing their stories- the adventures of a Bad Man, the bad man seemed in every version to have but one name- Arjun Bhat ... Poor little boy , but I have to say he held his own very well. Asked me for a paper, and wrote out his own story - where Vikram was the villain.

The Disappearing Cat was a hit - Analie, Aditya, Vraj, Vikram and Miraya were all yelling out answers to the Enid Blyton quiz !

What does the FAT in FATTY stand for ?
What are Ern's 2 brothers called ?
Fatty shows the Five Find Outers 2 tricks - what are they ?which books will you find them in ?
What is Mr. Goon's boss called ?

The meeting wrapped up with a Book Race - Vikram came first, Ishika came second ...

Cafe Leopold by Miraya Gupta, 7 years

Café Leopold began in 1871
It was started by Mr. Irani
With food fit for a rani.
Slowly Leo became famous
But Irani stayed anonymous
It stood on Colaba causeway
And was open night and day.

It was open at the terror attack
While all guns when phatak phatak
I went there with my parents
And everything was normal in appearance
Until I saw the bullet hole
And felt the spirit of Leopol(d).

We saw scores of people there
Eating and drinking all they could bear
The bullet hole was in the mirror
Kept there as a reminder
Of the horrible day
When bullets were fired away
And terror aroused the city of Bombay

Books are Fun by Ishika

Books are fun.
Have your read one ?
Do you know what
They teach you a lot.

They teach you new words
And tell you about animals and birds
They take you to a wonderland
Where you don't need a helping hand.

Books teach you about food.
And there goes a change in your mood.
They teach you about different places,
Where you don't need to tie your laces.

Books are fun
You really should read one.
